30/05/2008 The Round Table devoted to the gas pipeline planned to be constructed on the seabed of the Baltic Sea, took place on in Riga on May 14, 2008. NGOs of the Baltic Region met with experts of Company Nord Stream AG.NGOs from Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Sweden and Estonia represented the public of the region. The company was represented by 7 specialists: Permitting Director, experts of Nord Stream AG and Ramboll,company’s manager in the field of the communication with the public.

27/03/2008 Members of the press are invited to cover a public consultation meeting on the draft revisions of the Bank’s Environmental and Social Policy and on the Public Information Policy. The meeting will take place on March 28, 2008 at hotel ‘Izmailovo Gamma-Delta’, hall “Rostov”, Izmailovo road 71, ‘Partizanskaya’ metro station.

20/12/2007 The all-Russian contest for journalists “Climate Change – a Hot Topic”was organized by the Russian Regional Environmental Centre under the sponsorship of the British Embassy in Moscow and was aimed at enhancement of professional coverage of the climate change issues in mass-media, as well as at attraction of general public attention to the problem. The winners of the contest have been announced today.
